Join the Victorian Music Teachers Association for their first webinar for 2025!
In this session, Nat Bartsch will share some ostinato-based approaches to encourage classical music students to explore improvisation and composition, with a focus on mindfulness, kindness, and the space between the notes.
Nat Bartsch is a twice-ARIA nominated pianist/composer, record label owner, neurodiversity advocate, mentor and educator. She grew up as a classical/AMEB student, graduated from the VCA with an honours degree in improvisation; and recently completed a Masters in classical composition at MCM. She now tutors at the Con in areas that support students to collaborate between jazz and classical, and encourage classical performance students to compose and improvise.
This VMTA Professional Learning Webinar will be recorded and made available to registrants whether they are able to attend live or not.
