It is with great pleasure that we warmly welcome Ms Janet Holmes à Court AC as the new Patron of the West Australian Music Teachers' Association. Her acceptance of this role is an honour for our Association and a wonderful affirmation of the importance of music education in Western Australia.
Ms Holmes à Court is a devoted supporter of the arts and a longstanding advocate for cultural enrichment across our state and nation. Her leadership, generosity, and unwavering commitment to artistic excellence make her a deeply valued figure in the Australian arts community. We are truly delighted to have her guidance, presence, and encouragement as WAMTA continues to strengthen opportunities for music teachers and students across Western Australia. Her belief in the power of the arts to enrich lives strongly aligns with WAMTA’s mission, and we look forward to working together to elevate the profile and impact of music education statewide.
Janet Holmes à Court AC is owner of the Janet Holmes à Court Collection | Holmes à Court Gallery, and Chair of The Art Gallery of Western Australia (AGWA). She is also a Board Member of the State Buildings Advisory Board Western Australia and a member of the Commissioners Circle for the Venice Architecture Biennale.
