WAMTA organises a variety of social events throughout the year. We endeavour to spread them around the metropolitan area, on different days and times, to give as many people as possible the opportunity to attend.
February Social
Our first event for the year is held on a Sunday afternoon in February, once everyone has settled in to the new school year. This is a free event which provides the opportunity to catch up with your WAMTA colleagues over a delicious afternoon tea - we encourage attendees to bring a plate to share.
AGM Afternoon Tea
Following our Annual General Meeting in March, we hold an afternoon tea for members to catch up over a cuppa and bite to eat. Again, members are invited to bring a plate to share.
Coffee Catch Ups
We hold monthly coffee catch ups at a variety of cafes, hosted by a WAMTA council member. Days, times and locations vary to offer the opportunity to attend to as many people as possible. We usually rotate between north and south of the river. One of our most popular ones is Tuesday morning at the Mid-Century Cafe in Yokine! Look for our WAMTA table sign!
Quiz Night
A new social event that we hope to make an annual event! Our Big Music Quiz was held on Sat 29th June 2024.
Christmas Function
We finish the year with a meal together in early-mid December in a central location. In recent years we have found holding it on a Friday lunchtime at the Como Hotel has proven to be a popular option.
