WAMTA organises a variety of social events throughout the year. We endeavour to spread them around the metropolitan area, on different days and times, to give as many people as possible the opportunity to attend.
February Social
Our first event for the year is held on a Sunday afternoon in February, once everyone has settled in to the new school year. Traditionally held at Zenith Music upstairs in the auditorium, this is a free event which provides the opportunity to catch up with your WAMTA colleagues over a delicious afternoon tea and enjoy some musical performances, either by our WAMTA teachers or their students.
AGM Afternoon Tea
Following our Annual General Meeting in March, we hold a free afternoon tea for members to catch up over a cuppa and bite to eat.
Coffee Catch Ups
Between April and November, we hold a monthly coffee catch up at a cafe, hosted by a WAMTA council member. Days, times and locations vary (though a popular one is Tuesday morning at the Mid-Century Cafe in Yokine!). We usually rotate between north and south of the river. Look for our WAMTA table sign!
Christmas Function
We finish the year with a meal together in early-mid December in a central location.
