
Recital & Concerto Competition 2026
The WAMTA Recital & Concerto Competition is one of Western Australia's most respected performance opportunities for emerging musicians.
Held during the July school holidays, the competition welcomes entries across all instruments and age groups, culminating in the Winners Concert at Callaway Auditorium, UWA.

2026 Adjudicator

Dr Adam Pinto is a highly respected Perth pianist, composer and educator and is head of Keyboard Studies at the UWA Conservatorium of Music. He performs regularly as a soloist and chamber musician, has appeared with leading ensembles and orchestras, and is widely recognised for his work as an accompanist, collaborator and advocate for Australian music.
He brings a wealth of performance and adjudication experience to the 2026 WAMTA Recital & Concerto Competition.
Competition Venue
The 2026 competition will be held at Zenith Music Auditorium, providing a professional and welcoming performance space for competitors, teachers and families throughout the competition week.
Winners Concert
Selected prize winners will perform at the Winners Concert on 23 August 2026 at the prestigious Callaway Auditorium, The University of Western Australia.
This concert showcases outstanding performances from across the competition and is open to the public.
