Post covid, it has been rare for anyone to visit the WAMTA office. With Secretarial duties able to be performed remotely and WAMTA Council meetings held via Zoom in recent years, the need for a physical office has waned. At our AGM in February, a special resolution to sell the office was passed.
Consequently, the WAMTA office in Victoria Park is permanently closed, with the unit up for sale. Our Association is still very much operating - the WAMTA Secretary is now working entirely remotely.
We have packed everything up, and are currently sourcing a removalist. The records, music and items we use for our workshops and events will initially be stored in the Secretary's garage. They will then be sorted in more detail and either moved into our self-storage unit or disposed of.
