Program

10:00-10:45 AEST - Behind 10 Strong, Equal Fingers
Having ten strong, independent fingers is a basic premise of pianistic training, that we are promised to attain if we diligently practice Hanon, scales and other exercises. Yet in Therese’s experience, even advanced pianists complain about weak or problematic fingers. She shares specific principles to help all players, from a small child to advanced pianist.

10:45-11:30 AEST Deconstructing the Literature: Schubert Impromptu in Eb major, Op 90. No 2
Therese analyses this beloved Impromptu, and the myriads of technical aspects necessary at every level - descending and ascending scales, organising musical material, managing leaps and more.

11:30-12:00 AEST Hands on Session: Ask Me Anything
Answers to questions submitted in advance.
